Meet The Team

CEO & Co-Founder

Vaness "Reece" Gardner

"I embarked on the Urgent Revolution journey due to my profound recognition of the intrinsic value and untapped potential within vintage and sustainably sourced clothing. The exceptional durability and timeless quality of these items served as my driving inspiration to establish an accessible and convenient avenue for those with a keen appreciation for them, while also raising awareness among those who may not fully grasp their benefits.

Beyond my involvement with Urgent Revolution, I hold a specialization in artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on AI-generated graphic design and art. My overarching ambition is to effect the most substantial positive change possible within the world, encompassing not only environmental concerns but the well-being of all life that calls our planet home."

Co-Founder & VP of Marketing

Jolie Wyatt

"I'm Jolie, and my journey with Urgent Revolution reflects my deep passion for driving positive change in the fashion industry. Our shared mission is to combat the negative impacts of fast fashion and promote regenerative clothing through sustainable textiles. By championing timeless styles and eco-conscious practices, we're not just reshaping the way we dress but also fostering a more environmentally responsible and ethically conscious future.

Apart from my commitment to Urgent Revolution, I'm currently a student at Babson College, focusing on marketing and entrepreneurship. In addition to my academic pursuits, I also manage three innovative ventures: Wyatt Linkedin, a digital footprint service tailored to college students; JLWCosmetics, a vegan, cruelty-free cosmetics shop dedicated to expanding beauty accessibility; and If The Shoe Fits, a project aimed at providing customized, well-fitting shoes for individuals with larger or wider feet, promoting comfort and style for all. My overarching goal is to be a role model for minority women interested in business and fashion, inspiring and nurturing ambition within my peer group while contributing to positive change in both industries and society as a whole."

Marketing

Barra Shiffman

"I joined Revolution because I love fashion and want to help positively impact the environment through sustainable clothing. Being part of Revolution is my way of achieving this. Outside of Revolution, I also run “The Crimson Closet” at my high school, a program where students or parents can donate their old crimson school gear they don’t wear anymore. At The Crimson Closet, students can take home any donated clothing so it can be picked up by other students while simultaneously reducing textile waste and perpetuating the cycle of reusing clothing. I strive to bring more positivity to the world and help promote sustainable fashion alternatives that are more environmentally friendly."

VP of Operations

Spencer Karns

"I joined Revolution because of its strong mission and creative vision, recognizing the importance of effective business practices in achieving our goals. Beyond Revolution, I'm engaged in machine learning for a marketing startup and run my own venture in innovative shelving design. As a student at Babson College, I focus on entrepreneurship and real estate development. In terms of my broader aspirations, I aim to drive change through large-scale public works projects in commercial real estate, and innovate in the energy and infrastructure sectors to advance technology while addressing environmental concerns. Ultimately, my goal is to put smiles on faces and make a meaningful impact on the world."

"My initial involvement with Revolution began as a photographer and videographer, where I joined forces with CEO Reece to bring his visionary ideas to life. VP of Finance

Jeffery Oyegue

"I joined Revolution with the goal of contributing to its growth and impact. The mission of this movement deeply resonated with me because I have always harbored a strong aversion to the concept of fast fashion. I was eager to take action and be a part of a meaningful change. Beyond my commitment to the cause, I find solace in reading and continually acquiring new skills. My passion lies in education, particularly striving for equitable access to education, and I relish the opportunity to learn from various perspectives. My ultimate aspiration is to leave a lasting, positive mark on the world and to be remembered as a sincere and compassionate individual. It's intriguing how one's legacy is determined by others, not oneself. Therefore, I conscientiously strive to be my most authentic and best self when interacting with everyone I encounter."
